MUD-WATER SEPARATION TECHNOLOGY

In urban rail transit projects, the shield tunneling projects undertaken by the company adopt mud-water separation technology to achieve muck reduction. The shield construction muck is separated on-site; the treated water is recycled for shield tunneling, and the slag can be used as raw materials for construction sand and stones.

Even after mud-water separation, a large amount of mud cake still remains from the muck generated in shield sections. Due to the high moisture content of the mud cake (30–40%), it is used both on-site and remotely to produce flowable solidified soil for synchronous grouting.
